The Experience
We designed each day with a rhythm that breathes: learn → connect as a couple → integrate → play.
Expect intentional blocks for downtime (pool, beach, naps), not a wall‑to‑wall schedule.
Perfect for couples who:
Are in a growth season or mindset.
Want to bond through shared experience and good conversation.
Appreciate a balance of group energy and private couple time.
Not a fit right now if: you’re in active crisis (e.g., acute conflict, fresh infidelity), or seeking therapy. This is a facilitated personal development retreat, not clinical care.
Inclusive & respectful: All orientations welcome. We honor earth‑based spirituality and local traditions with care and consent.
Who This is For:
4 days / 4 nights in a sustainable (and lush) eco lodge — private king room with ensuite (no A/C, rooms are equipped with fans and February evenings bring cool ocean breezes)
Daily breakfast + most group meals (see FAQs section)
Two facilitated relationship workshops + two connection labs
Guided mezcal tour — tasting + local lore (included in cost)
Oaxacan dining experience — local native meal
Cacao ceremony & sound healing — earth-honoring, gentle
Special Valentine’s Dinner for the two of you (Saturday, Feb 14)
Strengths-based Mayan learning activity — respectfully guided by a local facilitator
Airport transfers from PXM during set windows
Welcome goodie bag (with local + useful goods)
On-site host support during free time
Optional extras: yoga, ice bath, sunrise beach walks, professional massage (pre-book).
Not included: flights, travel/medical insurance (required), 1 open dinner, personal beverages (outside programmed tastings), tips, optional add-ons.
What’s Included:
{CONNECTION}
Connection isn’t a Hallmark moment—it’s a practice.
In Puerto Escondido, you’ll get quiet enough to hear yourselves again. We’ll map your individual strengths and core values, then show you how they power your partnership. Expect guided conversations, simple somatic practices, and practical tools you can use at home.
Leave with a stronger sense of self, a shared language, and a concrete plan to build—together.

Iliana Alvarado
Hola! I’m Iliana 👋 I am passionate about designing immersive experiences that help people uncover their strengths, reconnect to their purpose, and design the life they desire.
My work draws on two decades in innovation, leadership design, and human transformation—blended with the grounding I’ve found living in Mexico and studying ancient practices from yoga to the Mayas. I bring structure, imagination, and presence to every experience, creating space for growth that feels inspiring.
See you in beautiful Oaxaca!.
Cynthia Mazereeuw
Hey! I’m Cynthia, life coach and retreat host, supporting people to reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
Over the years, I’ve guided women and couples through big life pivots and quiet turning points, helping them strip away the noise and create lives that feel honest, alive, and fully their own. My work blends deep reflection with a sense of play - grounding everything in nature, joy, and real conversation.
I invite you to embrace the best parts of life - not just on vacation, but together, every day. Starting in Mexico! :)
[ TESTIMONIALS ]
"Cynthia (of Club Vida) took such good care of us with a well-planned, well-timed, fun and relaxing retreat!
I loved getting to show up and not worry about a thing. Cynthia planned activities I never would have thought of (like a private chef and a private flamenco class).
I realized I rarely make room for rest and relaxation when I travel and Cynthia is a master at pampering and prioritizing play."

"This retreat perfectly blended professional development with cultural enrichment, leaving me feeling like I experienced a unique part of Mexico and also increased my people management skills.”
Despite not being a "woo woo" person who enjoys touchy-feely activities, I found the retreat incredibly valuable.
Iliana, the knowledgeable program leader of Colibri Experiences, provided deep insights that enhanced the overall learning experience. "
